We are effective becasue we do more than place individuals with disabilities: We
prepare and pre-screen them. We also prepare you and your staff to work with people
with disabilities.
Our Total Approach
To complement our referral service, we:
- Advise how to best accomodate workers with disabilities in your specific environment
- Train staff about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Conduct accessibility surveys to facilitiate ADA compliance
- Counsel on disibility-related employment issues, including disability etiquette
- Train new hires on site to ensure full productivity
- Inform about tax incentives and other government initiatives for employers of people
with disabilities

Employment Services

Abilities, Inc. Employment Services are designed to help Long Island and New York metropolitan area companies maintain a diverse and productive workforce. Our qualified job seekers have varied work histories, educational levels and skills. They bring to the job innovative ideas, resourceful thinking, creativity and motivation; qualities they developed because of the unique challenges they have overcome.
We Provide Free employment services, pre-screened candidates, from entry-level to professional jobs, "Interview Days" to facilitate a large volume of hires, Follow-up services including on site training if needed, Information about tax incentives, Provisions of sign language interpreters(ASC), Outplacement for employees with disabilities, Updates on the Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA), Information of disability etiquette, Accessibility/job accommodation surveys and consultation, workshops on employment and disability issues.
