Adapted Driver Education
Objective:
To assess the ability of persons with disabilities to drive, and to teach them how to utilize assistive devices and operate modified vehicles.
Duration:
Minimum of ten lessons.
Description:
a. Scope of Program:
This program offers the following services on a fee-for-service basis:
Pre-Driver Evaluation:
- Cognitive/Perceptual Evaluation
- In-Vehicle Evaluation
- Technical assistance and consultation
b. Expansion:
- In-car and in-van driving lessons
- Vehicle evaluation for transportation services

- Thoroughly trained professional driver education teachers
- All driving lessons are conducted on a one to one basis

Entrance Requirements:
The person must have a disability that alters or interferes with a person's ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
